Aim
Thalia project concerns the development of a comprehensive digital toolkit to support smaller cultural institutions. The integrated digital system supports decision-making by including a) a guide for the management of the cultural institution’s assets and communication strategy and b) digital management tools. The project is designed to promote an innovative, sustainable economic model based on the cycle of protection and conservation of existing cultural collections and can support the generation of new revenues from tangible and intangible cultural assets at local or sectoral level. The project contributes to increasing direct and indirect revenues from attracting investment and investment activity, the exploitation of preserved cultural heritage objects/collections and the use of these increases in the strengthening of the collections themselves. The revenue boost could support purposes such as historical restoration, archaeological preservation, infrastructure improvements, or adaptive reuse of content (physical and digital). Indirectly, it will provide opportunities to foster development, create jobs, and save vulnerable cultural resources, especially those related to local cultural heritage.
